25.02.1946 – Niederwiltz

Niederwiltz: Yesterday afternoon, Monday, three boys aged 8 to 10 from the families of Eugen Wampach, Nicolas Becker, and J.P. Nilles were playing with an explosive device they had found in the rubble in the “Getz” area. It suddenly exploded, critically injuring boys Wampach and Becker. An hour later, Wampach, who was horribly disfigured, succumbed to his injuries in the local hospital. Becker was transferred to the Ettelbrück hospital and is in critical condition.
