Wasserbillig – The Trier newspapers report on the tragic death of 50-year-old winemaker Eduard Koster from Langsur: The winemaker had driven to his brother’s small vineyard in Luxembourg with his tractor to spray the vines. While his brother worked in the vineyard, Eduard Koster became interested in the recently dug trenches nearby, which were being used to lay telephone lines. During the excavation, a mine must have been uncovered but not removed. The winemaker likely came into contact with it, as the mine exploded and killed him.
