19.03.1946 – Holzthum

HOLZTHUM: A German prisoner of war, who was working on the farm of the widow Grasges from here, stepped on a mine and was fatally injured. Death still lurks in our war-ravaged fields and forests.

15.04.1946 – Eselborn

ESELBORN: A German prisoner of war employed by a local farmer found a grenade while working in the fields. While handling it, it exploded, causing severe head injuries to which he later died.
