During mine clearance operations on Luxembourgish properties in the Langsur area, two men were killed and two others seriously wounded. The wounded were taken to the hospital in Grevenmacher. Seven men from this bomb disposal unit have lost their lives in the past week.

03.08.1945 – Bollendorf
On August 3, 1945, a detachment of the Steinheim demolition squad was clearing mines in the village of Hamicht near Bolendorf. At approximately 9:30 a.m., worker Pierre Merens stepped on an S-mine, which immediately exploded. He and worker Paul Berg, who was standing next to him, were killed instantly.
