ERPELDINGEN: While clearing mines, 35-year-old Peter Kesseler from here accidentally stepped on one. He was taken to a hospital, where he died that same evening. At the same time, Albert Stirn from Luxembourg was also seriously injured by shrapnel. He succumbed to his injuries soon after arriving at the hospital.
